Why do I teach at DIA: I have dedicated my life to the art of teaching art. To have the opportunity to experience and share the beauty of imagination, exploration and invention with my DIA students has been incredible! We do it in “Español”! What can be better!!?

Why I teach at DIA: I have always been interested in the Spanish language and have been learning little bits here and there. I took a semester of Spanish while studying at the University of Utah, and I also married a Spanish speaker. I have been practicing a lot at home, church, work and other places so that someday I can achieve fluency in Spanish. I love music and theatre and enjoy teaching your children. They are so fun, and I love to see their confidence grow in themselves and their ability to perform for an audience

Why I teach at DIA: I have been teaching P.E. at the elementary/middle school level for the past 4 years, 3 of which were in California. I received my teaching credential in California in 2012 from California State University, Fullerton. I graduated with my Bachelors Degree from BYU-Hawaii in 2002. I've taught English as a second in Irvine, CA; the country of Georgia; and in Mexico. I am teaching at DIA because I believe that physical activity is an important life skill and that all students should have the opportunity to find enjoyment in it; through participating in many different sports, games, and activities.
